We are happy to announce that Darshan Eye Care and Surgical Center has restarted small group round table discussions – which we had discontinued during the Covid pandemic. As before, it is a 2 hour breakfast meeting on the first Sunday of every alternate month, to discuss various topics of interest to the comprehensive ophthalmologist. The meeting is limited to 20 people.

The first program (post-COVID) was held in June 2022 and was on Corneal Infections. The second one was held in August 2022 and was on Dry Eye. The meeting begins at 8.30 with Breakfast and the sessions are from 9 AM until 11 AM. There are 4 lectures with ample time for discussion among the group – with the attendees able to interact with the Speaker.

The session on Dry Eye had 4 talks – two by Dr Srinivas K Rao, and 1 each by Dr Sanjeev P Srinivas and Dr Balamurugan. There were 15 attendees – all practicing Ophthalmologists from different parts of Chennai and the sessions were well appreciated. There was active discussion among the members on various aspects of Dry eye diagnosis and Management.

The meetings are held at Darshan Eye Care, on the First Floor, and the attendees are by invitation only. The program is conducted by the Darshan Charitable Trust as part of it efforts to promote education and knowledge sharing in Ophthalmology.
