Dr Srinivas K Rao joins Apollo Hospitals, Chennai – as Senior Consultant, Dept. of Ophthalmology

Apollo Hospitals is the leading Corporate Hospital in India – with the Chennai center being the Flagship Unit of the group.

The Dept. of Ophthalmology is located at the Sindoori Block in Greams Road, and Dr Rao was invited to join the staffas Senior Consultant. He met Dr PC Reddy – who requested him to provide specialist help to the develop the Dept. He consults there between 8 am and 12 noon on weekdays.

Dr Srinivas K Rao spoke about the Cornea in Systemic Diseases

The Staff at Apollo attended a lecture by Dr Rao – describing the various changes that can occur in the Cornea and Ocular Surface in problems of other parts of the body.

The lecture was well received and he was requested to deliver a series of lectures on the changes that occur in the rest of the eye in systemic diseases.

Dr Rao emphasized the importance of conjoint management of difficult eye diseases.
