Alcon Vision Care Advisory Board Meet – Webinar – 12 noon – 5 PM
Alcon is Pharmaceutical major in India which has an important portfolio of tear supplement products for Dry Eye patients. They have recently released a new addition to the product lineup – Systane Complete, which for the first time in India contains nano particles of phospholipid and mineral oil.

It is intended to support the oily layer of the tear film, which prevents evaporation of the tear film. Evaporative dry eye is now considered the most important type of dry eye and hence this is an important addition to the treatment options available for dry eye.

Dr Srinivas K Rao is part of an Expert Advisory Board for Alcon Pharmaceuticals, and attended a 5 hour webinar along with other experts, during which various pros and cons of the product were discussed. Dr Rao also consults for Allergan, USA and Santen, Japan.
