Dr Sinivas K Rao is Faculty and Senior Consultant at the Sankara Eye Hospital in Pammal. The hospital has a DNB program and currently there are 8 students and 3 Fellows in the Program. Dr Rao was requested to deliver a lecture on the use of the Slit lamp – this is an essential device that is used in virtually every eye exam. 

Dr Rao’s lecture covered the basics of the various parts and functions of the slit lamp as well as the various techniques for its use – when examine a patient. He also provided tips on how to use it when attending the OSKIs in an exam. The lecture was attended by al the PGs and was well received.
