As part of its Mission to promote knowledge among the ophthalmic Fraternity,Darshan Eye Care conducts a bi-monthly CME program. 25 Doctors in practice are invited to this small group meeting held in the First Floor of Darshan Eye Care and the program starts with breakfast at 8.30 AM. Talks are then held from 9 until 11.30 AM with ample time for discussion.

This Sunday, the session was on Phacoemulsification – the current gold standard technique for Cataract surgery. The program was conducted as a near live meeting with Dr Rao sharing videos of this technique for various steps of the procedure. Dr Ramesh also shared his approach to various steps and Dr Soundaram presented her technique for small pupil management.

Since this is a surgery that every Ophthalmologist performs, there was good interest in the program and active discussion after each talk. The purpose of these meetings is to encourage active participation from the attendees, possible only in a small group setting. The feedback from those who attended was positive and encouraging.
