Dr Srinivas K Rao visits ANAND, Gujarat, the home of the AMUL factory

Sankara Eye Hospital, Anand, is a 18 month old facility in Gujarat – part of the Sankara Group of Hospitals.

The Hospital organized a one day meet on Cornea and Refractive Surgery – and invited Dr Srinivas K Rao to be the Chief Resource Person for the same. About 100 ophthalmologists from Ahmedabad, Baroda, Vadodara, Anand, and other neighboring regions attended the deliberations and actively participated in the discussions.

Dr Srinivas K Rao delivered 2 lectures at the forum

1. He spoke about “Ocular Surface Disease – Medical and Surgical Management” including his work on Kerato-prosthesis surgery.
2. He also discussed his approach to LASIK surgery and his techniques to manage complications.

Both of his talks were well appreciated and the surgeons in the region expressed a desire to visit him in Chennai to observe his surgical work.

The Baroda Ophthalmic Association – a 100 member strong group has invited Dr Rao to visit them in 3 months time to deliver further lectures on Cornea, LASIK and Cataract Surgery.
