Dr Srinivas K Rao delivers a KEYNOTE ADDRESS at the Pune Ophthalmic Society Meet

Corneal surgery has under gone numerous advances in the recent past. Recognizing his role and contributions for the same, the Pune Ophthalmic Society honored Dr Rao, by asking him to present a Keynote address at their prestigious meeting.

RECENT ADVANCES

Dr Rao spoke on the various advances in the field of corneal surgery that have occurred in the past 2 decades. He highlighted the fact that corneal surgery in India has evolved and can now match that performed anywhere else in the world.

Corneal ulceration occurs in a variety of conditions – including connective tissue disease. Surgery can help protect the eye and vision.

The session was attended by over 250 doctors and post graduates . Dr Rao discussed the various surgical techniques he uses
